YESTERDAY: 1-1(-1 unit)
FEBRUARY: 22-17-1 (+64.3 units)
ALL TIME: 22-17-1 (+64.3 units)
RECAP: We will start with the bad. The game started off great. Miami had 31 points in the first quarter. Things started to go downhill after that, and The Heat were down 1 at half. Then The Heat could only put up 35 points in the second half and the Mavs ended the game on a 12-0 run. Watching Miami's offense last night, in the second half, made me want to puke. I don't understand how Luke Babbitt can be on the court for your team in 2017. Unfortunately, watching The Heat took so much out of me, I wasn't able to stay awake for the Twolves victory. Karl Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins combined for 56 points in the win. Thanks guys! March is one of the most exciting months for degenerates. With the Conference Tournaments and NCAA Tournament coming up, we will take it easy today, and prepare for the month ahead.
INDIANA HOOSIERS +10.5 at Purdue Boilermakers
6pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)
These teams are more evenly matched than their records show. They are two extremely high powered offenses who hate each other. Both teams are averaging over 80 ppg. Also, both teams are top five in the Big Ten in scoring margin. On top of that, in the Big Ten, the two teams sit at 1 and 2 in field goal percentage, as well as top five in 3 point field goal percentage, and top five in rebounding. Indiana needs this win if they want a chance to hear their name on Selection Sunday(I haven't given up yet). Most importantly, this is a rivalry game. Indiana does not want to get swept by Purdue. Thomas Bryant and James Blackmon Jr. should have the team pumped up enough to give Purdue their best shot. Tom Crean will most likely make some funny faces along the way. Purdue sucks. Purdue smells. Purdue women are ugly. You can think I am biased if you want, but I am confident Indiana covers this spread, and maybe even wins the game.
Carolina Hurricanes at Florida Panthers -1.5 +195
6:30pm central
(5 units wagered, 9.75 units won)
Low risk pick here. The Panthers have lost their last 3 games, all at home. I have seen the Panthers play at BB&T center. I know they will do whatever they can, to show their raucous crowd a victory after those 3 straight losses. Before this losing streak however, they had won 8 of their last 9. The Hurricanes are the perfect team to turn your losing streak around on. Carolina has lost 6 of their last 7 games. 5 of those games they lost by 2 goals or more. Florida is thinking playoffs. They are 3 points behind Toronto for the final spot in the East. They have 21 games remaining, with 15 of those games coming against "quality" teams. They need every win they can get, against bottom of the barrel opponents. It is also a good time to watch and cheer for Jaromir Jagr. The man has been in the NHL since he was selected by the Penguins in the 1990 NHL entry draft. I was born in 1992. Incredible. Take Florida tonight as they fight for their playoff spot.
I've been a loyal reader of this infamous blog since it's inception and have come to believe that it's creator/writer is very sound in his philosophy of picking the correct outcome. However, when you start to bad mouth a team due to the fact that it's female student body has been proverbially beaten by the ugly stick and stuck in the closet, fate has a way of knocking you in the ass. Hence the 86-75 outcome of last nights game. Don't get me wrong, I too am not a fan of the boilermakers. That *&%^ drum that they feel is the world's largest needs to be shoved up Purdue Pete's backside. But I digress, keep going with Dr. Rubin's picks and see the windfall progress. That is, if you can trust him
