Well, if you are still reading this, comcast hasn't shut off your internet yet. We still have a chance to get back into the positives. For those readers I lost, due to them not being able to pay their electric bills.... I am truly sorry. Everyone who is sticking with me. Thank you. I GUARANTEE we win our units back and much more. We are always one hot streak away from retirement. These next two NBA picks should bring us a little closer.
76ers +310 at Charlotte Hornets
6pm central
(5 units wagered, 15.5 units won)
76ers moneyline has been a pick for me all year. You never know who they are going to beat and who they are going to lose to. This team can come out and compete against any team especially a team that takes them lightly. Charlotte has won 1 of their last 10 games. They have not found a way to close out games as we saw in their 107-102 loss to the Clippers Saturday night. Joel Embiid is still out tonight, and Jahlil Okafor may sit out again due to trade talks. This has increased playing time for players like Dario Saric who is averaging 21 ppg over the last 3 outings. If he can continue putting up those numbers while Nerlens Noel protects the rim, and Tj McConnell makes the right plays, the 76ers should have a solid chance at a victory tonight. The 76ers have won 2 of their last 3 with the lone loss coming in a close game with the Spurs. I see this as a nice low risk, high reward pick. Take a risk tonight, the Hornets have lost their stingers.
San Antonio Spurs -3.5 at Indiana Pacers
6pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)
Pacers have lost three in a row and now have to face a Spurs team coming off a loss to the Knicks yesterday. The Spurs have only lost twice in a row two times this season. I expect Kawhi to come out doing whatever it takes to shut down PG13 and crew. The Spurs rank 1st in the league in defensive efficiency and are allowing just over 98 ppg. The Pacers rank 14th in this category and are letting up over 106 ppg. Both teams are in the bottom five in three point attempts per game. In the new NBA that could be a little scary... Unless, you are sitting in first in three point field goal percentage at just over 40% as a team. I expect the Spurs to come out and make their shots while the Pacers struggle to find a way to defend them. When you rank 1st in three point percentage and 1st in defensive efficiency, I find it hard to believe you will lose two nights in a row. Coach Popovich is great at making sure his players are rested and ready to play, so I am not too worried about them coming out soft after a back to back. Look for Lamarcus Aldridge and Kawhi Leonard to come out and set the PACE tonight. Go Spurs!
TONY PARKER IS HOT!
