YESTERDAY: 1-0 (+10 units)
FEBRUARY: 12-11-1 (+17.6 units)
ALL TIME: 12-11-1 (+17.6 units)
RECAP: Wow... That was scary. It seemed like Troy was doing everything they could, not to cover the spread. With less than 3 minutes left they had missed 8 of their last 9 free throws. I am just thankful that Appalachian State is so bad. Just terrible... Troy should have won this game by 25, but I will take the 10 point victory and collect my money. We are still without the NBA today. Lets see what CBB and NHL has to offer.
Monmouth -6 at Fairfield
6pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)
You all may have noticed, I love MAAC basketball. It seems like every game in the conference is just packed with scoring, laughs, and fun. Monmouth is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the MAAC. They have already clinched the regular season conference title, and show no signs of letting up. They are currently 23-5 and 15-2 in conference. Monmouth also averages over 80 ppg while Fairfield averages just over 73. Last time they played, The Hawks manhandled The Stags 91-49. Talk about an ass whooping... Most importantly, what does our trusted Kenpom rankings think about all of this? They have Monmouth sitting at a respectable 86 and Fairfield at a lowly 204. Maybe... Vegas knows something we don't. Maybe... they believe Monmouth will let up, having already clinched the Conference. I don't buy it. This is college basketball. These kids play for pride. They want to bury The Stags and give their mothers something to cry about. They will make them remember the day they played THE MIGHTY MONMOUTH HAWKS!
INDIANA HOOSIERS +1, CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS +135 PARLAY
7pm central (Blackhawks) 8pm central (Hoosiers)
(6 units wagered, 20.6 units won)
With no NBA action I thought, why not have a little fun? The Blackhawks are dogs, which is always a fun bet to take. They have won their last 6 road games and have a 18-10-1 road record on the season. Crawford was given a rest on Sunday and should be ready and fresh for tonight's tilt. And...Onto the Hoosiers. They have been absolutely awful as of late, losing 6 of their last 7 games. That being said, Iowa is currently on a 3 game losing streak and has been inconsistent all season. With 4 games left in the regular season, Tom Crean will be pushing his players to prove they deserve to hear their team picked on Selection Sunday. It really may be win or go home for Indiana at this point, and I think James Blackmon Jr. and Thomas Bryant are up to the challenge. Follow me on my homer parlay if you are looking for something low risk, high reward.
