YESTERDAY: 1-1(-1 unit)
FEBRUARY: 22-17-1 (+64.3 units)
ALL TIME: 22-17-1 (+64.3 units)

RECAP: We will start with the bad. The game started off great. Miami had 31 points in the first quarter. Things started to go downhill after that, and The Heat were down 1 at half. Then The Heat could only put up 35 points in the second half and the Mavs ended the game on a 12-0 run. Watching Miami's offense last night, in the second half, made me want to puke. I don't understand how Luke Babbitt can be on the court for your team in 2017. Unfortunately, watching The Heat took so much out of me, I wasn't able to stay awake for the Twolves victory.  Karl Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins combined for 56 points in the win. Thanks guys! March is one of the most exciting months for degenerates. With the Conference Tournaments and NCAA Tournament coming up, we will take it easy today, and prepare for the month ahead.

INDIANA HOOSIERS +10.5 at Purdue Boilermakers
6pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

Image result for indiana basketball
These teams are more evenly matched than their records show. They are two extremely high powered offenses who hate each other. Both teams are averaging over 80 ppg. Also, both teams are top five in the Big Ten in scoring margin. On top of that, in the Big Ten, the two teams sit at 1 and 2 in field goal percentage, as well as top five in 3 point field goal percentage, and top five in rebounding. Indiana needs this win if they want a chance to hear their name on Selection Sunday(I haven't given up yet). Most importantly, this is a rivalry game. Indiana does not want to get swept by Purdue. Thomas Bryant and James Blackmon Jr. should have the team pumped up enough to give Purdue their best shot. Tom Crean will most likely make some funny faces along the way. Purdue sucks. Purdue smells. Purdue women are ugly. You can think I am biased if you want, but I am confident Indiana covers this spread, and maybe even wins the game.

Carolina Hurricanes at Florida Panthers -1.5 +195
6:30pm central
(5 units wagered, 9.75 units won)

Image result for jaromir jagr panthersLow risk pick here. The Panthers have lost their last 3 games, all at home. I have seen the Panthers play at BB&T center. I know they will do whatever they can, to show their raucous crowd a victory after those 3 straight losses. Before this losing streak however, they had won 8 of their last 9. The Hurricanes are the perfect team to turn your losing streak around on. Carolina has lost 6 of their last 7 games. 5 of those games they lost by 2 goals or more. Florida is thinking playoffs. They are 3 points behind Toronto for the final spot in the East. They have 21 games remaining, with 15 of those games coming against "quality" teams. They need every win they can get, against bottom of the barrel opponents. It is also a good time to watch and cheer for Jaromir Jagr. The man has been in the NHL since he was selected by the Penguins in the 1990 NHL entry draft. I was born in 1992. Incredible. Take Florida tonight as they fight for their playoff spot.

YESTERDAY: 1-0(+17.7 units)
FEBRUARY: 21-16-1 (+65.3 units)
ALL TIME: 21-16-1 (+65.3 units)

RECAP: Next time we lose a close one, I will try to look back and remember this victory. We had no business winning this bet. With about 5 minutes left and the score tied, Artemi Panarin sent a beautiful pass to Artem Anisimov to put The Blackhawks up by one. That goal wasn't enough though. We had to sit and wait for the Blues to pull their goalie. Once they did it seemed like The Blackhawks would never get it out of their defensive zone. Luckily with 3 seconds left in the game, Tanner Kero was able to hit the empty net from the opposite blue line. Thanks Tanner! We finished strong last week, lets start strong this week. First NBA picks since the All Star Break. Lets get it!

Miami Heat -1.5 at Dallas Mavericks
7:30pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

Image result for hassan whiteside mavericksThe Heat sit at 9th in the Eastern Conference, only one game back from Detroit. The Heat had an abysmal start to the season. They were 11-30 going into a game against Houston on January 17th. They won that game and the next 12 after. They are 16-2 since that date. Erik Spoelstra is looking like a miracle worker, and definitely is in discussion for coach of the year. Dallas is currently in 11th in the Western Conference. I am sure Rick Carlisle has given this team delusional hope of making the playoffs. They just aren't that good. Dallas is last in the league in ppg, and one of two teams who average less than 100 ppg. That isn't a recipe for success. Miami also ranks 6th in defensive efficiency while Dallas ranks 16th. Miami has the better offense and better defense here. I believe in this game, Miami will take another step forward, and Dallas another step back. Hassan Whiteside should be able to dominate Nerlens Noel, and the other Dallas big men in the paint. Last game he had 22 points and 17 rebounds in his 37th double double of the season. Hassan should record number 38 tonight in a victory over the Mavs. Take The Miami Heat who are truly on fire.

Minnesota Timberwolves -5 at Sacremento Kings
9:30pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

Image result for minnesota timberwolves team
If you look back on some of my previous writings, you will notice I love to bet against The Charlotte Hornets. The Charlotte Hornets were able to beat the NEW Kings by 14 points. I think Minnesota is a better team than Charlotte. Sacramento just lost Boogie, and should look like a chicken with their head cut off. If I were to ask my readers to name 3 or 4 players on this Kings roster... I am pretty positive most of them wouldn't be able to. The T-Wolves have a bright future under coach Tom Thibodeau, with budding stars Andrew Wiggins and Karl Anthony Towns gearing up to be the next big thing. I believe this team will only improve as the season goes on. Maybe they even grab the 8 seed in The West. The Kings were fighting for a playoff spot while they had Demarcus Cousins. Cousins was by far the best player on the roster, and responsible for most of their wins. I expect this Kings team to resemble the Brooklyn Nets, more than a team sitting in 9th one game out of the playoffs, going forward. Take Minnesota tonight as they help send Sacramento down the standings.

St. Louis Blues at CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS -1.5 +177

(10 units wagered, 17.7 units won)

Image result for patrick kane
I try to be unbiased when looking at the Blackhawks. I had my trusted statistician and daily reader Jay come to me this morning with an interesting stat. Teams coming off NHL's bye week are now 7-18 (28%) on moneyline. The moneyline sits at -170 and that just isn't too enticing for me so I have decided to push it a little bit. We will give the Blues 1.5 to start. Usually these match ups are intense and close. That being said, the Hawks have won 8 of their last 9 games. I think the fact that they are hot, combined with St. Louis being a little rusty coming off their break, should be enough to secure a 2 goal victory. GO HAWKS!

YESTERDAY: 2-1 (+9 units)
FEBRUARY: 18-16-1 (+27.6 units)
ALL TIME: 18-16-1 (+27.6 units)

RECAP: I still don't believe Dayton pulled that off. I thought I was for sure going to have some explaining to do. Down 10 late in the 2nd half I decided to employ one of my betting strategies. I switched the channel to change the vibes. Next thing I know The Flyers are up 8 in overtime. Wow! Good Vibes! Monmouth seemed to control the game against Sienna. They just never could pull away enough to cover the spread. Thankfully Saint Peter's Peacocks were able to handle The Niagara Purple Eagles with ease in a 13 point victory. Lets see what Saturday has to offer.

Related imageSAN FRANCISCO DONS -6.5 at Pepperdine Waves
3pm Central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

Pepperdine is possibly the worst team to get consistent TV time. It seems like everyone of their games is televised... and they are just awful. They have lost their last 3 games by a combined 1,000,000 points. Okay, actually 101 points.... but that is still ridiculous. Pepperdine is 322 in the nation in opponent points per game.  San Francisco has a good defense sitting at 51 in the nation. The Dons can struggle to score at times, and are 223rd in the country in ppg. This could seem to be problematic except, The Waves are 276th in that category. Lastly I will come back to the trusted Kenpom rankings. San Francisco at 107 and Pepperdine at 294. Go Dons!

SOUTH DAKOTA COYOTES PK at IUPUI Jaguars
6pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

We are rolling with South Dakota again. They are fighting for the Summit League Championship and IUPUI is out of that race. IUPUI is 8-3 at home this season which may be scary. I just think the added motivation for The Coyotes will help them pull through. Jump on South Dakota as they compete to give us another W.

YESTERDAY: 2-0 (+20 units)
FEBRUARY: 16-15-1 (+18.6 units)
ALL TIME: 16-15-1 (+18.6 units)

RECAP: Back into the life of positive units. A few more wins and I might go buy a Rolex. The Leathernecks were able to keep the game close during the first half. We were never nervous however, as The Coyotes took hold of the game in the second half and never let up. Trey Dickerson lead The Yotes with 21 points and 2-3 from 3 point range. Thanks Trey! Portland was a little less comfortable, as they were down until there was about 5 minutes left in the game. Damian Lillard proved to be too much for the Magic to handle however, and put up 33 points in the victory. Thanks Damian! Well, tonight we have a full slate to pick from. ONWARD!

Sienna at MONMOUTH -8.5
6pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

Image result for justin robinson monmouthMAAC BASKETBALL!!!! We have the cream of the crop in Monmouth, taking on Sienna. Monmouth is on a 14 game winning streak and show no signs of letting up. Last time these two teams played Monmouth won by 20.... at Sienna. Justin Robinson put up 40 points in the match up on 8 of 13 from three. Over the past three games, the 5ft 8in Robinson has hit 18 threes on 27 attempts. Thats 66% from three over that time period. The kid is on fire, and Sienna won't be able to extinguish the flames. Monmouth is gearing up for the NCAA tournament and should be using every game they have to improve. The Hawks have also earned some respect in our trusted Kenpom rankings sitting at 78. Sienna is currently at 185. Monmouth is 1st in the conference averagine 81.1 ppg. Sienna is 225 in the nation in opponent points per game. They are also only putting in just over 73 ppg of their own. I expect The Hawks to score early and often, and The Saints won't have the fire power to keep up. Take Monmouth tonight and watch Justin Robinson lead them to victory.

SAINT PETER'S -6.5 at Niagra
6pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

Saint Peters Peacocks vs. Manhattan Jaspers, Las Vegas Odds, NCAA Basketball Sports Betting, Picks and Prediction
More MAAC basketball. We have another enticing match up in the best conference in college. The Peacocks take on The Purple Eagles at The Gallagher Center. First of all I'd like to say the Peacocks would be intimidated by the Eagles.... Except they are freakin purple. How can you be afraid of anything that is purple. It is like Niagra decided, lets take a really bad ass mascot, and just completely ruin it. Now I am not too educated on Peacocks but those feathers are fierce. When it spreads out its feathers, I would run away. I believe that The Eagles will be hiding from The Peacocks as they are embarrassed of their strange coloring and intimidated by the huge colorful peacock feathers. Now if this isn't enough information for you to take Saint Peter's, The Kenpom rankings have them at 116 and Niagra sitting at 252. Saint Peter's is gearing up for the MAAC tournament and would like to hold on to their 2 seed in order to avoid playing Monmouth before the championship round. Last time these two teams played Niagra was able to upset them and I believe this will supply Saint Peter's with added motivation. Saint Peter's is also the hotter team coming into tonight's game on a 4 game winning streak where they beat their opponents by a combined 94 points.. Niagra has lost their last 3 by a combined 38 points. One team is hot, One team is not. Take the hot team, roll with Saint Peter's tonight.

DAYTON -2.5 at Davidson
8pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

Image result for scoochie smithDayton is still fighting for the A10 championship. In doing that they have carried themselves to a 7 game winning streak. Dayton also sits at 35th in the nation in opponent points per game. This has helped propel them to a 34th ranking in the Kenpom. Davidson sits at 92 in the rankings. Charles Cooke, Kendall Pollard, and Scoochie Smith have all been on a tear for The Flyers. The Flyers lost to VCU who currently have the same record as them in the A10. With three games remaining, and one remaining against first place VCU, I believe Archie Miller will have The Flyers hungry for every win. Also, if you bet against Dayton daily subscriber Dimitri Tsiribas may cut your hand off with a samurai sword.... or his own...Take Dayton, and keep your limbs.

FEBRUARY: 14-15-1 (-1.4 units)
ALL TIME: 14-15-1 (-1.4 units)

RECAP:

DUKE: TRAP
OREGON: Dillon Brooks hit the only shot we asked him to miss, keeping the game from overtime.
BRADLEY: Still Turrrrible
**BUTLER**: I will never understand how Vegas gave us this spread. Maybe because they knew how much they would be screwing us elsewhere.

Vegas trapped us twice in one day, with Oregon and Duke. They better not get used to it. In a day full of upsets, we benefited  from a underdog of our own, Butler. So we can't be too sour. Unfortunately this makes that Indiana loss sting a little more, as we could really use those parlay units. But enough dwelling on the past. The NBA is back and you know what that means... EASY MONEY. Today we are going to crush it. We are going to take back what is ours. OUR DIGNITY, OUR UNITS!!!

PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS -2.5 at Orlando Magic
6pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

Image result for portland trail blazers playersThe Orlando Magic trade with Toronto, was not to get better. This is a team that knew it had no use in keeping Serge Ibaka and wasting his talents. They made the move to send him to Toronto in order to look at the future. Part of looking at the future, is losing games and trying to get a top lottery pick. Just ask the 76ers about the process. Portland is 2 games out of the 8 seed in the West. I don't exactly understand the Nurkic for Plumlee trade, but I do believe the Blazers had winning games in mind. Damian Lillard fully believes that all he needs to do is get into the playoffs and he has a chance of winning the title. This may be a pipe dream, but having that confidence and drive to make the playoffs should help us in this game. Now I know you might be thinking... Portland is a far flight from Orlando. These players are coming off a week break, and jet lag, that usually has an effect, shouldn't effect too much tonight. The Blazers won 4 of their last 6 going into the break. I believe they take this momentum into Orlando, and get one step closer to the 8 seed in the West.

South Dakota -5 at Western Illinois
7pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

Image result for south dakota coyotes basketball
South Dakota sits at 2nd in the Summit and still has a chance at winning the conference. Daily subscriber Kristian Kiskinov, left Western Illinois to get his masters at South Dakota. I have to assume that decision had something to do with the two basketball programs. Western Illinois sits at 295th in our trusted Kenpom rankings, while South Dakota is more respectable at 144. South Dakota is also hot and hungry on a 4 game winning streak, while The Leathernecks have lost 4 of their last 5. The Leathernecks  average 70.8 ppg but allow 75.4 ppg. The Yotes are truly in the upper class of the Conference, while the Leathernecks are nothing but bottom dwellers. If you are looking at the Leathernecks, be like Kristian. Move on to the Coyotes, you won't regret it.

YESTERDAY: 1-1 (+4 units)
FEBRUARY: 13-12-1 (+21.6 units)
ALL TIME: 13-12-1 (+21.6 units)

RECAP: Monmouth was able to cruise to a easy 20 point win. They shot lights out from behind the arc hitting 13 of their 24 attempts. What can I say? MAAC basketball!!! Hitting this bet should have had us feeling pretty comfortable going into our homer parlay. Either way we were going to finish the night winners. Then the games start... Toews goes for 3 goals and 2 assists to lead the hawks to a 5-3 victory. The Hoosiers are winning. It's looking good. WE ARE GOING TO HIT BIG TODAY! 5 minutes left and Indiana is up 8. Then it happens... Turnovers, missed free throws, and poor defense. Before we know it we are headed to overtime with the Hoosiers in foul trouble. Then, just to mess with us, in overtime we get the first 2 points. It was over after that, Indiana was gassed and really never seemed to be in it the rest of overtime. Usually parlays don't hurt too bad, but I'll admit this one stings. I know Noah would be in his room listening to Hamilton after a late defeat like that. Well, we must move on and count the shekels we were able to bring home last night. One more day without the NBA. Lets see what today has to offer.

OREGON -4.5 at California
8pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

Image result for dillon brooksIt seems that every time I watch Oregon, I find myself saying, this team really has a chance at winning a national championship. Led by Dillon Brooks this team is stacked with five scorers averaging double digits. Ivan Rabb and Jabari Bird will put up a fight for The Golden Bears. I just don't trust their supporting cast to keep up with Oregon's. The Ducks are 2nd in the Pac 12 in scoring with 79.8 ppg, sitting only behind UCLA who is averaging a ridiculous 92.3 ppg. California is 10th in the conference in this category and is averaging just under 70 ppg. Cal is no slouch in the conference however, and does have a 9-5 record in the Pac 12. That being said, last time these two teams played Oregon won by 23. Oregon sits at 15 in the Kenpom rankings making them one of the most dangerous teams in the country. Cal is currently at 47. When The Ducks get going they are almost impossible to stop. The Golden Bears have lost their last two games and I don't see The Ducks being a easy team to bounce back against.  Take Oregon here and watch them score early and often.

DUKE -3.5 at Syracuse
6pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

Image result for luke kennard dukeI'll be honest, this does have a trap feel to me. However, the numbers are too much to ignore. Trusty Kenpom has Duke at 12 and Syracuse at 47. I know home court advantage is big in college basketball. Especially at The Carrier Dome. Duke just has too much NBA talent to care. Three or Four of their player could hear their names read by Adam Silver in the first round of the NBA draft. Headlined by Luke Kennard, Jayson Tatum, and Grayson Allen. When this team is on they can really be a hassle. Just like California, Syracuse is on a three game losing streak. Oregon is not a fun team to break your streak against, neither is Duke. The Blue Devils are averaging almost 82 ppg. Syracuse is 117th in the nation at opponent ppg. The Orange are averaging 72 ppg in their last 5 games. They will need to have a well above average game scoring, in order to keep up with The Blue Devils. I think Duke will put up 90, EASY. Duke hasn't reached their full potential yet. I think this game gets them going further in that direction.

Butler +10 at Villanova
8pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

Image result for kelan martin
Not too many numbers here. The facts are:

1.Butler won their last matchup
2.Butler is the 2nd best team in the Big East

We very well may see these two teams match up in the Big East Tournament Championship. I expect Villanova to come out angry about the last time these two faced off. That being said Butler is a prideful team that can play with anyone in the nation. I think this game goes down to the wire. Regardless of who comes out on top, we should be able to cover the 10 point spread.

MISSOURI STATE -3.5 at Bradley
7pm central
(11 untis wagered, 10 units won)

Image result for missouri state bearsBradley won on Saturday. Bradley has not won back to back games this season since the first two games. They are really, really awful sitting at 235 in the Kenpom rankings. Missouri State isn't great either, sitting at 128, but last time they played they were able to win by 14. Although Missouri State's record is nothing spectacular, they are still 3rd in the conference in scoring. Bradley sits at 10th. Bradley can't score and they don't stop anyone from scoring. Most importantly, Braves expert Justin Reisman has informed me, its never a bad bet to go against the Braves.

YESTERDAY: 1-0 (+10 units)
FEBRUARY: 12-11-1 (+17.6 units)
ALL TIME: 12-11-1 (+17.6 units)

RECAP: Wow... That was scary. It seemed like Troy was doing everything they could, not to cover the spread. With less than 3 minutes left they had missed 8 of their last 9 free throws. I am just thankful that Appalachian State is so bad. Just terrible... Troy should have won this game by 25, but I will take the 10 point victory and collect my money. We are still without the NBA today. Lets see what CBB and NHL has to offer.

Monmouth -6 at Fairfield
6pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

Image result for monmouth basketball 2017
You all may have noticed, I love MAAC basketball. It seems like every game in the conference is just packed with scoring, laughs, and fun. Monmouth is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the MAAC. They have already clinched the regular season conference title, and show no signs of letting up. They are currently 23-5 and 15-2 in conference. Monmouth also averages over 80 ppg while Fairfield averages just over 73. Last time they played, The Hawks manhandled The Stags 91-49. Talk about an ass whooping... Most importantly, what does our trusted Kenpom rankings think about all of this? They have Monmouth sitting at a respectable 86 and Fairfield at a lowly 204. Maybe... Vegas knows something we don't. Maybe... they believe Monmouth will let up, having already clinched the Conference. I don't buy it. This is college basketball. These kids play for pride. They want to bury The Stags and give their mothers something to cry about. They will make them remember the day they played THE MIGHTY MONMOUTH HAWKS!

INDIANA HOOSIERS +1, CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS +135 PARLAY
7pm central (Blackhawks) 8pm central (Hoosiers)
(6 units wagered, 20.6 units won)

Image result for indiana basketballWith no NBA action I thought, why not have a little fun? The Blackhawks are dogs, which is always a fun bet to take. They have won their last 6 road games and have a 18-10-1 road record on the season. Crawford was given a rest on Sunday and should be ready and fresh for tonight's tilt. And...Onto the Hoosiers. They have been absolutely awful as of late, losing 6 of their last 7 games. That being said, Iowa is currently on a 3 game losing streak and has been inconsistent all season.  With 4 games left in the regular season, Tom Crean will be pushing his players to prove they deserve to hear their team picked on Selection Sunday. It really may be win or go home for Indiana at this point, and I think James Blackmon Jr. and Thomas Bryant are up to the challenge. Follow me on my homer parlay if you are looking for something low risk, high reward.

Appalachian State at TROY -7
7pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

Image result for TROY BASKETBALL I have not watched a single game of either of these teams all season. The Sun Belt just hasn't been as intriguing to me as the MAAC this season. That being said, I believe we have a gem here. I am just going off what the numbers tell me. The Kenpom has Troy ranked 162nd in the country, while they have Appalachian State sitting at 247. Appalachian State is also 1-13 on the road and has a conference record of 3-11.  More importantly the Mountaineers sit at 2-7-2 against the spread in their last 11 road games. They really are the bottom of the barrel when it comes to the Sun Belt Conference. Troy is more of a middle of the pack team in the Conference sitting with a 7-6 conference record. Also Troy is 2nd in the conference averaging over 80 points per game. Appalachian state is 10th in the conference in opponent points per game. The Trojans should have no problem putting up, over their 80 ppg average, ensuring victory. I would like to repeat, I have never watched these teams. That being said I do feel confident with the numbers in front of me... Troy should win this game easy.

LAST NIGHT: 1-0 (+18.5 units)
FEBRUARY: 11-9-1 (+28.6 units)
ALL TIME: 11-9-1 (+28.6 units)

Image result for brandon manning patrick maroon
RECAP:  Boom! Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers were unstoppable last night. They went up 2-0 early and never looked back. The game was violent from the beginning, absolutely wonderful to watch. The victory was never in question as Connor McDavid lead the team to a 6-3 victory. McDavid came out angry and aggressive and put up 1 goal and 2 assists. However, one player on the Flyers, Brandon Manning impressed me a lot, by dropping the gloves against the much bigger Patrick Maroon. The Edmonton fans wanted a chance at payback and Manning showing he is a true hockey player took on the challenge. His possibly broken nose, should end the beef that started last season when Brandon Manning injured Connor McDavid, ending his chances at the Calder Trophy. No NBA for a week, lets see what degenerate picks I can find.

IONA -9.5 at Marist
6pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

Image result for iona basketballI know, I know, last time we took Iona it didn't go too well. Both teams were scoring, and Iona blew a late game lead, due to turning the ball over. Stuff happens... Marist is 6-21 and is currently ranked 323 in the Kenpom rankings, Iona still sits at 115. Marist sits at 302nd in opponents ppg. Iona is 36th in points per game at over 80. The Red Foxes will have no answer for the Gaels offense and should also struggle to put up points. Marist can't score against anyone and is 274th in ppg. Marist is really, really bad at basketball. Take Iona, they won't let us down twice.

Colorado Avalanche at CAROLINA HURRICANES -1.5 +115
630pm central
(10 units wagered, 11.5 units won)

Image result for jeff skinnerThe Avalanche have played 3 games since the Carolina Hurricanes have last played. In that 3 game span they are 0-3. You may say the Hurricanes could come out slow due to not playing for almost a week. I find it more likely that the long road trip the Avalanche are on will cause them to come out even slower. Carolina is by no means a good hockey team. That being said they do sit at 19th in the league in goals per game. Colorado sits dead last. When it comes to goals against Carolina is nothing special, sitting at 20th in the league....But the Avalanche are also dead last in that category. The Avalanche are bad. They have been on the road for awhile. They played last night. The Hurricanes shouldn't have a problem putting up 4-6 goals on them tonight. I am not too worried about Colorado finding a way to score either. Carolina may not have a Connor McDavid, but they should get the job done.

LAST NIGHT: 2-1 (+9 units)
FEBRUARY: 10-9-1 (+10.1 units)
ALL TIME: 10-9-1 (+10.1 units)

RECAP: The Raptors started out slow and needed the entire game to pull out the victory. The Hornets were able to hold on ATS. Regardless the Hornets showed they can't close out games. They are just terrible, and I will continue to pour it on them until they prove otherwise. The 76ers had to scare us but were able to cover ATS, losing by 8 points. Dario Saric, again had a team high 20 points. The kid is the real deal. Nevada crushed it going up at one point by 28 points. Air Force had no answer for the Wolf Pack's offense and the game was never really in question. Cameron Oliver helped secure the game with a 9-12 shooting performance, ending the game with 25 points. Marcus Marshall added 10 points and 5 assists. With the short NBA slate we are going to attack the NHL who has presented us with a great opportunity.

Philadelphia Flyers at EDMONTON OILERS -1.5 +185
8pm central
(10 units wagered, 18.5 units won)

The Flyers are coming off a 3-1 road loss to Calgary before boarding the plane and taking a 3 hour flight to Edmonton. I expect the Oilers to come out and put the puck in the back of the net early and often. They last played on Tuesday and should be rested and prepared to protect Rogers Place. The Oilers are a decent goal scoring team, ranked 13th in the league. Philadelphia is 24th in the league in goals allowed. I never have an issue betting against a team, coming off a road loss who have proven to be sieves all season. Connor McDavid is really really good at hockey. If you are a NHL fanduel guy, I would definitely have him on your squad tonight. Take Edmonton tonight against the lowly Flyers.

LAST NIGHT: 0-1 (-11 units)
FEBRUARY: 8-8-1 (+1.1 units)
ALL TIME: 8-8-1 (+1.1 units)

RECAP: Wow, IONA is fun to watch. They may not have been able to win the game, but I count it as a victory, that I may have gotten some people interested in that amazing game. I may have doubled their viewing numbers through this blog. It seemed like no one would miss on either side. If Iona didn't have 4 or 5 turnovers in the final 3 minutes, they would have been able to pull out the victory. Losses happen, Iona is still my pick to win the MAAC tournament. We will move on and make it back today.

NEVADA -6 at Air Force
8pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

Nevada vs. Air Force - 1/18/17 College Basketball Pick, Odds, and PredictionA few days ago we bet on this team... and they really let us down. They came out soft and were only able to put up 56 points against a San Diego State team who had given up 76 points a few nights earlier,  to the lowly San Jose State Spartans. Air Force is not San Diego State. San Diego State, was close to Nevada in the Kenpom rankings. Nevada currently sits at 75. Air Force, 211. Marcus Marshall leads the Mountain West in scoring. I expect Marshall and his fellow Wolf Pack, who are first in the Mountain West in ppg, to be able to score at will against a Air Force team who is ranked 239 in opponent ppg. Nevada still has a chance at winning the Mountain West and could use a big win against a cupcake team. When has someone in your wolf pack let you down twice? Take Nevada tonight, give them a second chance.

Charlotte Hornets at Toronto Raptors -6.5
6:30pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

Image result for serge ibaka raptorsI can see how this may be a trap. Toronto hasn't been too hot lately and Charlotte has to turn it around eventually, don't they? Just kidding! Charlotte is f***ing terrible as of late. We took Sixers moneyline against them and we aren't going to stop riding on them here. Over their past 20 games this season, they have beaten 3 teams not named the Brooklyn Nets. Even the two games in that span, against the Nets were nailbitters. Both games went down to the wire, each game ending within 5 points. The Raptors have traded for Serge Ibaka and I believe tonight should be his first night with the team. Although he may only see spot minute, I believe the addition of Serge will give the team a morale boost. Ibaka is the defensive presence at the 4 the Raptors have needed all season. Ibaka should be able to create space for Derozan and Lowry going forward. I think he will come out with something to prove to his new teammates. He will be looking for his shots, as well as looking to show how much of a defensive presence he can be. Lets continue to stomp on the Charlotte Mosquitoes, until they prove they can protect their hive like Hornets.

76ers +10 at Boston Celtics
6:30pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

The Celtics are 10-1 in their last 11 games. Saying that they are a hot team would be an understatement. That being said, 7 of those 10 wins were within 10 points. They have been leaving games tight until the very end for Isaiah "4th Quarter" Thomas to finish out. The Sixers are currently riding a three game winning streak into Boston. This 76ers team can compete with anybody. Dario Saric continues to stay hot without Joel Embiid, and Nerlens Noel looks more comfortable now that it trading Jahlil Okafor has become a become a bigger priority for the team. The flight from Philly to Boston isn't a long one, so I don't see fatigue being a big factor. I expect the Sixers to come out and compete for 48 minutes. Who will win? I don't know... But we should be in for a close one.

LAST NIGHT: 2-0 (+25.5 units)
FEBRUARY: 8-7-1 (+12.1 units)
ALL TIME: 8-7-1 (+12.1 units)

RECAP: BOOOOOOOOMM!!!! Do you hear that? That's the sound of the electricity coming back on. Charlotte has been a dumpster fire over the past 10 games, and they proved it once again for us against the 76ers last night. How the Hornets were 8.5 point favorites? I will never know. Dario Saric lead the team with 18 points. This is his fourth straight outing over 15 points. Saric is a big reason the 76ers have been able to sustain their competitiveness, without Joel Embiid.  Hope you guys jumped on that moneyline and made some loot. The Spurs were a little scarier, coming down to the wire. Jeff Teague even hit a pointless shot at the buzzer to make it a 4 point game (thankfully this wasn't a pointless 3). Kawhi Leonard was just too much for the Pacers at the end of the day. Leonard had 32 points and 4 steals to help lead us to victory. Time to move on, and pick some more winners. Only have one for you today, but... it is a degenerate one. Enjoy.

Image result for iona collegeIONA +1 at Canisius
6pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

Our new favorite team, Iona Gaels. Our guys came out hot when we picked them last, absolutely destroying Niagara 90-76. Canisius matched up against Niagara on Friday and got smoked 94-81. Iona currently sits at 117 in the kenpom rankings with Canisius sitting at 177.  Iona has won their last 4 games on the road, and I expect them to make it 5 in a row here. Jordan Washington and the Gaels still have a small chance of winning the MAAC. I believe this will give them the added motivation necessary needed, for them to come out and set the tone early. I might have to buy a Jordan Washington Iona jersey after this. Take Iona and watch them add another win to our totals.

LAST NIGHT: 1-3 (-22 units)
FEBRUARY: 6-7-1 (-13.4 units)
ALL TIME: 6-7-1 (-13.4 units)

RECAP:

Iona: Crushed it :)
Bulls vs. Timberwolves over 207: hit 206 :(
Nevada: Pathetic
Canadiens: Shut out... 4-0 loss

Well, if you are still reading this, comcast hasn't shut off your internet yet. We still have a chance to get back into the positives. For those readers I lost, due to them not being able to pay their electric bills.... I am truly sorry. Everyone who is sticking with me. Thank you. I GUARANTEE we win our units back and much more. We are always one hot streak away from retirement. These next two NBA picks should bring us a little closer.

76ers +310 at Charlotte Hornets
6pm central
(5 units wagered, 15.5 units won)

Image result for dario saric 76ERS76ers moneyline has been a pick for me all year. You never know who they are going to beat and who they are going to lose to. This team can come out and compete against any team especially a team that takes them lightly. Charlotte has won 1 of their last 10 games. They have not found a way to close out games as we saw in their 107-102 loss to the Clippers Saturday night. Joel Embiid is still out tonight, and Jahlil Okafor may sit out again due to trade talks. This has increased playing time for players like Dario Saric who is averaging 21 ppg over the last 3 outings. If he can continue putting up those numbers while Nerlens Noel protects the rim, and Tj McConnell makes the right plays, the 76ers should have a solid chance at a victory tonight. The 76ers have won 2 of their last 3 with the lone loss coming in a close game with the Spurs.  I see this as a nice low risk, high reward pick. Take a risk tonight, the Hornets have lost their stingers.

San Antonio Spurs -3.5 at Indiana Pacers
6pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)
Image result for popovich spursPacers have lost three in a row and now have to face a Spurs team coming off a loss to the Knicks yesterday. The Spurs have only lost twice in a row two times this season. I expect Kawhi to come out doing whatever it takes to shut down PG13 and crew. The Spurs rank 1st in the league in defensive efficiency and are allowing just over 98 ppg. The Pacers rank 14th in this category and are letting up over 106 ppg. Both teams are in the bottom five in three point attempts per game. In the new NBA that could be a little scary... Unless, you are sitting in first in three point field goal percentage at just over 40% as a team. I expect the Spurs to come out and make their shots while the Pacers struggle to find a way to defend them. When you rank 1st in three point percentage and 1st in defensive efficiency, I find it hard to believe you will lose two nights in a row. Coach Popovich is great at making sure his players are rested and ready to play, so I am not too worried about them coming out soft after a back to back. Look for Lamarcus Aldridge and Kawhi Leonard to come out and set the PACE tonight. Go Spurs!

LAST NIGHT: 1-1 (-1 unit)
FEBRUARY: 5-4-1 (+8.6 units)
ALL TIME: 5-4-1 (+8.6 units)

RECAP: Being without Josh Richardson and Dion Waiters while playing in a back to back on the road, was too much for the Miami Heat. The Sixers came out and protected their home floor. Thats no problem for us however, Golden State covered easily. Durant went off. Now we are sitting on 8.6 units. Everything in the world is going great!  It's Lazy Day Sunday, time to sit on the couch and make some money. I will keep these short.

Chicago Bulls at Minnesota Timberwolves Over 207
2:30pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

Image result for bulls vs. timberwolvesBulls games have gone over this number the past 6 games. When the Bulls are scoring, they aren't defending. When they aren't scoring, they aren't defending. Over this 6 game span they have let up an average of just over 112 ppg. If you watched the Bulls play against the Suns, they struggle with young athletic teams. Without Lavine in the lineup, the Twolves will need to find scoring elsewhere. I expect Shabazz Muhammad and Brandon Rush to be able to pick up the scoring slack on their home floor against the Bulls. On top of all of this the Timberwolves have been in games that go over 207 lately as well. 9 of their last 10 games have gone over this number. Jimmy might not be on the floor but Dwade and crew should be able to put up the points necessary. I expect both these injured teams to be able to pick up the slack and put the ball in the bucket. Take the over here.

Iona -6 at Niagara
Image result for jordan washington iona1pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

This is probably my most degenerate pick to date. You may be asking, what do I know about Iona basketball?  I have actually watched a few of their games this year (due to being a degenerate) and they are a pretty solid team. Iona currently sits in the kenpom rankings at 118. They should be able to outmatch a Niagara team who currently sits at 248. I expect Jordan Washington and his fellow Gaels to stomp on Niagara this afternoon.

Nevada +3.5 at San Diego State
3pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

Image result for nevada wolfpack basketballSan Diego State lost to San Jose State last week. A rivalry game that you would hope a team that is much more talented would find a way to win.  San Jose State had a kenpom ranking of 187. If they come out the same way against  a Nevada team that currently ranks 67 in the kenpom ranking they will get ran out of the gym. Marcus Marshall will be hard for San Diego State to stop, and we should see some threes from DJ Fenner. Join my Wolfpack.

Montreal Canadiens +130 at Boston Bruins
6:30pm central
(10 units wagered, 13 units won)

Carey Price and Montreal look to take a stronger hold on 1st place in the Atlantic. The Canadiens have won 2 of their 3 previous match ups this season. The lone loss coming in overtime. They also have already proven they can win in Boston. Take the Canadiens, the better of two rivals.

LAST NIGHT: 0-1-1 (-10 units)
FEBRUARY: 4-3-1 (+9.6 units)
ALL TIME: 4-3-1 (+9.6 units)

RECAP: I have been sitting here for 5 minutes trying to find the words to describe how angry I am with Bradley Beal. 20 points 4 assists 3 rebounds might look fine on paper. However, if you are a degenerate gambler watching the game last night, you know otherwise. Bradley Beal missed 3 of 4 free throws down the stretch. Get too baked at halftime? Vegas give you a call in the 4th? Girlfriend cheating? What the hell? The spread of this game should have easily covered, and I hope we all were able to sleep last night even with the push. C'mon Man! We were also defeated in another frustrating game last night. The Wild couldn't find a way to put it in the net, and needed a shootout to secure the victory. Well, I hope you haven't spent your 9.6 units yet... Because we are attacking the NBA tonight with two great games.

Golden State Warriors -7.5 at Oklahoma City Thunder
7:30pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

Image result for kevin durant warriorsIn Lebron's return game to Cleveland, the Heat destroyed the Cavs 118-90. I am getting similar vibes in this game. The Thunder are a far better team than the Cavaliers were back in 2010. That being said what sticks out to me is how Lebron played going against one of the most hostile crowds. He had 38 points 8 assists and 5 rebounds. He only played 30 minutes throughout 3 quarters. Durant isn't Lebron but if you were paying attention to the first two meetings between these teams, Durant has had a killer mentality. In their first meeting this season Durant was an absolute savage. He may have been running his mouth, but his game was certainly doing most of the talking. Durant had 39 points splashing 7 of his 11 shots from behind the three point line. The Warriors went on to win the game 122-96. In their second meeting at Oracle Arena, we saw more of the same. The Warriors won 121-100, and Durant had 40 points on 13 of 16 shooting. Enes Kanter had 22 points and 9 rebounds in this game. Sir Kanter has since punched a bench chair and is out for the near future after having surgery on his forearm. That means we are going to see more of Domantas Sabonis, Jerami Grant, and Joffrey Lauvergne than we saw in the first two games. Gross! I love Russell Westbrook, and it has pained me to write this, but he had 16 turnovers in the first two meetings combined. Westbrook can have as many points, assists, and rebounds as he wants. As long as he is turning the ball over, and Durant is making nearly every shot, the Thunder don't stand a chance. Durant has hired extra security for the game because... he knows he will need it after he embarrasses the Thunder on their home floor. Expect Durant to come out firing... and making. Take the Warriors tonight in another blow out.

Miami Heat -3.5 at Philadelphia 76ers
6:30pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

Image result for hassan whiteside
The Miami Heat have won 13 straight games. They are easily the hottest team in the NBA right now. One of those victories even came against Golden State. They have been absolutely unstoppable, and that shouldn't change at Phili tonight. Joel Embiid has been a monster on the floor this season. He has only been able to play in 1 of the past 12 games and won't be suiting up tonight. During that span the 76ers are 4-8. I might have stayed away from this, as I have been a fan of 76ers moneyline picks all season while Embiid was playing. I just don't feel the same way about this Sixers team when he isn't on the court.  The Heat did play last night in Brooklyn and Dion Waiters may sit out. I can see how this could be seen as a trap. That being said, I have no problem taking the hottest team in the NBA to win by 2 possessions or more at the Wells Fargo Center tonight. Hassan Whiteside and Goran Dragic are more than enough, with their supporting cast to ensure a victory. Ride with The Heat tonight as they attempt to keep the fire burning.

LAST NIGHT: 2-0 (+21.6 units)
FEBRUARY: 4-2 (+19.6 units)
ALL TIME: 4-2 (+19.6 units)

RECAP: Welcome back to the world of positive units. I hope all the readers I may have lost the other day, trust me enough to return after yesterdays domination. Both games provided small scares throughout, but my confidence in both teams never wavered. The Caps game went smoothly except for a short period of time that it was 3-3 in the third period. It was obvious however that the Caps would be able to continue dominating and ended up putting in 3 more goals before the end of the game. Final score 6-3. Great job Caps. Great job Brandon. Despite Harden having 9 turnovers and the Rockets trailing by 6 at half, they were still able to pull it out against a Hornets team that can't find a way to win as of late. Final score 107-95. Moving on to today's picks.

Tampa Bay Lightning at Minnesota Wild -1.5
7pm central
(10 units wagered, 18 units won)

This is a value pick. We are betting on a team you can make an argument for as the best team in hockey. They have offense from young guns like Charlie Coyle, and vets like Eric Staal. On top of that they are letting up 2.32 goals per game. That is 2nd best in the NHL. That number drops to 2.08 when playing at home. Tampa Bay on the other hand ranks 22nd in that category. On top of all this Tampa has been a terrible team on the road all year with an abysmal 10-14-4 record. Minnesota is 17-6-1 at home. Now it's never a sure thing when you need to win by two goals in the NHL, but I will take my chances given the match up in front of me and the odds given.

Indiana Pacers at Washington Wizards -5
7pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

Image result for BRADLEY BEAL THREE
If you recall the other day, I made a pick on this same Wizards team against the Brooklyn Nets. I made this pick after Washington came off a heartbreaking loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. That bet didn't go as expected and the Wizards let us all down. That being said prior to playing Cleveland, they had won 17 straight games at home. 17 straight games! The Indiana Pacers sit at 6th in the East with a decent record of 29-23. However, they are 9-16 on the road. I fully expect John Wall, Bradley Beal, and the Washington Wizards to take care of business on their home floor, and start a new home winning streak.

LAST NIGHT: 1-2 (-12 units)
FEBRUARY: 2-2 (-2 units)
ALL TIME: 2-2 (-2 units)

RECAP: Although we weren't able to have a winning night yesterday, I hope everyone enjoyed the reality tv spectacle that was Madison Square Garden last night. Charles Oakley being forcibly removed from the arena was truly ridiculous to see. As someone who has given their heart to the New York franchise I am surprised he was treated with such disrespect. Oakley who has been openly critical of Dolan has been punished by not receiving tickets and being excluded from organization events. Now I don't know what was said by Oakley, but I have a feeling it wasn't too much. Even if it was, Dolan deserves it. Almost made me thankful to be a Bulls fan. Blake and Deandre totaled for 60 points on 23-37 shooting. Blake was hard to stop Richie. The Wiz blew it and the Celtics sucked most of the night while I slept. Maybe if I was awake they would have called me out there to run the point. Enough about yesterday, follow me back into the positives tonight.

HOUSTON ROCKETS -3.5 at Charlotte Hornets
6pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

Cody Zeller is back tonight, and I couldn't care less. Just kidding Cody, I love you. The Hornets have won three of their last ten games. TWO OF THOSE VICTORIES HAVE COME AGAINST THE NETS. Don't get me wrong, Kemba Walker and Nicolas Batum are no joke and they will put up big numbers against a Rockets defense that can sometimes take a night off. I just don't see a way that Charlotte will slow down Harden and Co. Charlotte is ranked 7th in defensive efficency which is one thing that scared me when making this pick, but when you look at the last time the Rockets played a team in the top 5 of defensive efficiency they put up 119 points. There is no defense for shooting the most threes in the league. If you make enough of them you are going to win. The Rockets are shooting over 39 three point shots per game and 44 per game over the past three games. The Rockets are shooting 36.3% from behind the 3 point line 11th in the league, despite shooting the most shots. Memphis is 3rd in the league in defending the three pointer yet they had no answer for it when they played the Rockets. Charlotte is 14th in this category. Maybe the Rockets come out missing in Charlotte, I just don't see it going that way.

Detroit Red Wings at WASHINGTON CAPITALS -1.5
6pm central
(10 units wagered, 11.6 units won)

Image result for ovechkin red wingsNoah says to take the Caps so I guess we are taking the Caps. Now you might say, Noah is a biased Caps fan. Throughout this season this has not been the case. The man knows when to pick em and when to leave em. I am sure that he will be writing about it today so check him out at 007sportsandpopc.blogspot.com. The money makes sense and Washington is absolutely outstanding on their home ice. They have a record of 22-5-1 at the Verizon Center. On top of that at this point in the season the Red Wings have a goal differential of -21, The Caps......+66. They are 8-2 in their last 10 and I don't see them slowing down against a Red Wings team that has failed to compete all season. One small scare is that the Red Wings do have a better record on the road than they do at home (11-9-5). That being said, I fully expect the Capitals to come out and take care of business just like they did on Monday against Carolina. Take the Caps tonight and watch them get one step closer to being knocked out of the playoffs in the Conference Finals.

LAST NIGHT: 1-0 (+10 units)
FEBRUARY: 1-0 (+10 units)
ALL TIME: 1-0 (+10 units)

RECAP:

Last night could not have gone more smoothly. Absolutely crushing the 205.5 over by scoring an astonishing 227 points. Both teams came out firing and we were sitting back sippin a beer with three minutes left in the game counting our money. Highlight of the night was Lillard and McCollom combining for 61 points. When those two are on their game I don't know if there is ever an under that is safe. Now enough living in the past, lets see whats at play tonight.

WASHINGTON WIZARDS -11 at Brooklyn Nets
6:30pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

This looked a lot better last night when it was -9 but I still have a feeling this has blow out written all over it. The Nets have covered just 3 of their last 10 games ATS. After a close game last night with Charlotte I have a hard time believing they will cover two nights in a row. Also the Wizards are coming off a day of rest after what could have been the best basketball TV we will see all year. They were heartbroken in regulation by the Cleveland Lebron's and beaten in overtime by the Cleveland Kyrie's. Even in defeat they showed the world that they are the real deal and not a team to be taken lightly. I expect John Wall, Bradley Beal, and friends to come out angry. On top of all of that the Nets were in a close game last night in Charlotte and took the night flight in to Brooklyn. With the 6pm start time it is very possible we see a sluggish Nets team. Take the Wiz in a blow out tonight.

LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS -1.5 at New York Knicks
7pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

The Clippers are currently on a 3 game losing streak and this is the perfect game for them to turn it around. The Knicks sit in 12th place in the East  Since sitting out 4 game due to injury Porzingis has looked less aggressive and has been taking bad fouls. I expect Blake Griffin to take advantage and keep coming at him all night long. Even without CP3 there is no one on the court that will be able to slow down Griffin or Deandre Jordan. This is before I even mention what a terrible place the Knicks organization is at. Over and over again Phil Jackson is throwing Melo under the bus for his own mistakes. I have a hard time believing that Melo will come out with heart until he finds a new home. Phil Jackson ruined this already tortured franchise. May GOD have mercy on his soul. At the end of the day big time players love playing at MSG.  Blake Griffin is a big time player and I expect him to dominate under the big lights. Take the Clips tonight, Lets Ride!

BOSTON CELTICS -8.5 at Sacramento Kings
9:30pm central
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

This spread should move up as we get closer to game time. The Celtics are on a 7 game winning streak. Isaiah Thomas in the 4th quarter is must watch television averaging 10.7 points in the last 12 minutes. S-A-V-A-G-E. Savage. Boogie is suspended. The Celtics sit 2.5 games back on the Cavs for the 1 seed in the East. The Celtics are hungry for the #1 spot and I believe that they will come out tonight and get right down to business. Take the Celtics while Adam Silver has Demarcus Cousins on Time Out.

DALLAS MAVERICKS VS. PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS OVER 205.5
(11 units wagered, 10 units won)

Happy Tuesday everyone. Everybody's favorite day of the week. Today we have a wonderful over just waiting to be bent over and taken. This game features two teams starting to turn their seasons around. Starting with the Dallas Yogis who are 6-2 in their last 8. During this time frame they have averaged 105 ppg. Portland has been decent of late going 4-4 in their last 8 games including a 108-104 loss (212 points) to the Mavs. During this time frame the Blazers are averaging over 108 ppg. 108 + 105 = 213. Now some of you may say, "Brandon you cant just add up the last few games and think you have something here.", But if you have been watching Dallas since signing Yogi, they are working at a quicker pace. In their last meeting with Portland, Dallas had 35 points in the first quarter. After getting smacked last night In Denver I expect the Mavs to come out firing, and the Blazers to stick with them. Take the over tonight and pad your pockets.
